Travis Kelce detailed the wild on-field celebration after the Kansas City Chiefs’ win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
The Chiefs tight end was elated after his team defeated the Ravens 17-10 in the AFC Championship Game, clinching a spot in the 2024 Super Bowl.
All eyes were on the fun celebration that followed, including a major PDA moment between Kelce and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
“We had our whole family on the field, me, mom, dad and Taylor. Everyone was there,” Jason Kelce said on Wednesday’s episode. Their “New Heights” podcast.
“You gave your patented ‘we have to fight for our rights’ speech, and I didn’t think it was the right thing to say,” he laughed.
Following their big win, Travis and Swift, both 34, were captured on camera sharing a sweet kiss on the field at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, before declaring their love for each other.
Swift watched the soccer game from a VIP suite with Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, and close friends Brittany Mahomes, Kelly Sperry, and Cara Delevingne.
After his girlfriend won a big game and sent the Chiefs to the Super Bowl, Swift Photo celebrating with Travis’ familyincluding his parents Ed Kelce and Donna Kelce, and Jason, a veteran center for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jason, 36, went on to address the now-viral moment between Chiefs coach Andy Reid and the 12-time Grammy Award winner, noting that the two had a crush on each other after the big win. They appeared to be pointing fingers at each other.
“This is a great photo that Big Red tweeted showing his love for Taylor on stage. They’re pointing at each other,” Jason told his brother.
“We talked about how they knew each other from their Philadelphia days and gave a shout out to Scott Swift, the great Scott. He and Andy are good friends,” the tight end noted.
“That was a great moment in hindsight. I couldn’t see it because I was screaming on stage. But it was cool.”
Regarding Travis’ celebration on the field after the win, Jason said it was the first time Travis received the AFC Champion Lamar Hunt Trophy outside of Arrowhead Stadium.
Travis said that even though there were fewer participants this time, they had all the support they needed.
“All that matters is my family, my friends, and the people I flew with, dude. That’s all I can say,” he said.
“All that extra stuff…I think it’s just, you know, for show. All I was thinking about was meeting you guys and having fun with the guys I just won a game with. A little sweet. I feel like this road to where we are now has been more of a challenge, which means we have to overcome more, which in some ways makes it a little more meaningful. It means something.”
Travis detailed the team’s raucous celebration on the way home, saying the Chiefs partied the entire flight home.
“If we were the only ones partying on the flight home, we would have had the entire two-hour flight to ourselves,” he said. “It was electric, it was great.
“The coaches were back with the players, reminiscing about the season, enjoying each other’s presence and what we had just accomplished again two years in a row. We have a special group,” he said. Hey.”
