A group of Black men spoke to MSNBC on Friday about why former President Trump appeals to them more than President Biden ahead of the 2024 presidential election.
MSNBC correspondent Trymaine Lee met with voters at a barbershop in Charleston, South Carolina, and asked them what kind of “appeal” Trump had to the Democratic incumbent among their demographic. Ta.

“When I read what Donald Trump is talking about about business, despite all the craziness he has in his head, I think I kind of agree,” said fellow voter Thomas. Murray told MSNBC. “Because he’s trying to grow the business.”
“As for Biden, I’ve never seen him really interested in that kind of business. And my concern is that my kids will watch and take on something when I’m not here. “My goal is to run my own business so that I can build generational wealth,” he added.

Juston Brown, another voter in the focus group, said people “look up to that persona” and “want to be like him.”
“They want to enjoy the perks he has. He seems to be able to circumvent the rules at any time,” Brown explained.

“A lot of my friends are obviously the same age as me, so we’re a little younger. We’ve only voted in a presidential election once, and all we know is Trump. ” Givens said. “They’re like, ‘Well, we broke with Biden.
