A TikTok video of a young woman complaining about having to work 40 hours a week has gone viral on social media with millions of views.
The woman, who identified herself as Eliza and posted under the nickname “SupposedlyASystem,” said it was impossible to enjoy life while working 40 hours to pay rent.
“How can I enjoy life while working full time?” she wrote in the video.
“So I can work 40 hours a week and live in a two-bedroom apartment and an extra $300 a month,” she says.
“For example, it doesn’t cover my cell phone, internet, food, right? So not only do I have no extra money, but I’m so tired just working and I don’t have time,” Eliza continued.
“When I finish work at 5:30 and come home, I’m so tired. I’m so tired that I postpone everything I have to do other than work until the weekend, and then I do my work. I wait until Saturday to do this because I’m tired afterwards, and then I end up having to split it into two days because there’s so much to do over the weekend,” she said. She is, she says.
