Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino revealed on Instagram on Saturday that his 2-year-old son Romeo choked on a piece of pasta on Thursday.

In the clip, Mike and Lauren are seen sitting at the dinner table with Romeo and his daughter Mia Bella, 1, when their son begins to struggle.
Mike, 41, and Lauren, 39, jumped into action and tried to determine what was wrong before removing the bits of food from their son’s mouth.
“The scariest moment of our lives‼️ It was a normal dinner at Situations and suddenly, without warning, Romeo started choking on his favorite pasta pesto gnocchi!! He leaned forward and gasped for air. I didn’t do it 😩,” Sorrentino wrote alongside the video.
Mike went on to say that he and Lauren did everything they could to stay calm.
“I’m so proud that my wife and I didn’t panic, didn’t hesitate, and ultimately removed the food that was blocking his airway and saved his life,” he continued.

Because of the terrifying incident, Mike is scheduled to take CPR lessons. He also said he and Lauren will stop feeding their 2-year-old his favorite food, gnocchi, for the time being.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi said, “So scary! Poor Romeo! You guys are amazing parents,” and Sammy Giancola wrote, “Oh I’m so glad he’s okay!” ❤️. ”

Mike and Lauren, who tied the knot in November 2018, are currently expecting their third child.
They announced the happy news in September 2023 with an adorable post that read, “Three good things 🥹 Adding another pumpkin to the patch 🙏🏼 Baby #3 is coming in March 2024.” .
Their first child, Romeo, was born in May 2021, and less than two years later, Lauren gave birth to their second child, Mia Bella, in January 2023.
