Dictator Comments ‘Said in Jest,’ ‘We Were Having Fun’
Former President Donald Trump said on “Sunday Morning Futures” this week that he was just “having fun” when he said he would become a dictator from day one if re-elected.
Host Maria Bartiromo said, “You recently made a comment that you’re going to be a dictator from day one. And you said you’re going to close the borders and drill, drill, drill. What exactly do you mean? Did you say that?”
Trump said, “Well, I think it was fun because I was with Sean Hannity. So he asked me, ‘Are you really going to be a dictator?’ I said I was going to be. I said, “I’m definitely going to be a dictator for one day.” I didn’t say that from the beginning. ”
Bartiromo asked, “Do you mean the executive order?” What did that mean?
