President Biden has declared that Americans will be living in a “nightmare” if former President Trump wins re-election.
Biden made the claims Sunday during a series of campaign events in Nevada ahead of the state’s primary. He accused President Trump of his desire to become a “dictator” and of his vow of “vengeance” against his supporters after the January 6 incident.
“We have to keep the White House. We have to keep the Senate,” Biden said, adding that only then “can we say we saved American democracy.”
“Imagine Donald Trump’s nightmare,” he said.

Meanwhile, Trump’s own campaign responded in a similar vein. “Biden has been a nightmare for this country in just three years in the White House,” said Press Secretary Stephen Chan. I will never be able to forget it,” he declared.
Mr. Biden’s re-election strategy has so far relied on the argument that Mr. Trump is a major threat to American democracy. The White House’s other strategies to drum up support have largely failed, with Bidennomics failing and Americans deeply doubting Biden’s ability to handle the border crisis.

The poll found that 55% of registered voters said they thought Trump was better at steering the economy, compared to 33% who chose Biden.
