Stock prices move significantly after hours

Check out the companies making headlines during after-hours hours.

Palantir Technologies — Shares rose 19.5% after Palantir beat sales in the fourth quarter. According to LSEG (formerly Refinitiv), sales came in at $608.4 million, compared to analysts’ expectations of $602.4 million. The company reported adjusted earnings of 8 cents per share, in line with analyst expectations. CEO Alex Karp also highlighted the growth of the company’s artificial intelligence platform.

NXP Semiconductors — The chipmaker rose more than 3% after better-than-expected fourth-quarter results. NXP reported adjusted earnings of $3.71 per share, 8 cents above analysts’ estimates compiled by LSEG. The company’s revenue was $3.42 billion, which also exceeded analysts’ expectations of $3.4 billion.

Chegg — Shares fell 1% after lower-than-expected first-quarter earnings guidance. Meanwhile, LSEG said the company posted adjusted earnings per share, in line with analyst expectations, and sales were higher than in the fourth quarter.

Stock futures little changed on Monday

US stock futures open near the flatline on Monday.

Futures, which track the Dow Jones Industrial Average, fell 14 points, or 0.04%. S&P 500 futures fell 0.03% and Nasdaq 100 futures rose 0.05%.
