DC woman left crawling back home after she was attacked, robbed by 3 suspects

A woman who was the victim of a brutal robbery in Washington, D.C. over the weekend crawled back to her home after the violent encounter.

Just before midnight Sunday, a 26-year-old woman was walking on Northwest Second Avenue when she saw a black sedan pull up. “Three people got out of her car and started running towards her,” the woman told officers, according to a police report obtained by Fox News Digital.

The woman began to run away from the three suspects, who pushed her to the ground and repeatedly shot her with mace. She also said she felt something like a knife in her side while she was on the ground.

The suspects stole her wallet, which contained her debit and credit cards, identification and insurance cards, and demanded that her iPhone be unlocked before taking them, the report said.

She then crawled back to her home as the suspects fled the scene.

“I’m definitely upset,” the woman said. Fox 5 DC. “Just a general feeling of not being as safe as your neighborhood. Feeling personally targeted and kind of violated.”

“I love D.C.,” she added. “It makes me sad to think that this is going to change the way I spend my time in Washington, D.C., and the way I interact with my neighborhood and the spaces around me.”

Police are still searching for the suspect. A police spokesperson told Fox News Digital that a detailed description of the suspect is not available at this time.
