Participants at the Winter Outdoor Drag Queen Show in Grand Rapids, Michigan, expressed their joy as parents brought their young children to Saturday’s “Winter’s a DRAG” event. Because, in the words of one, “kids get used to…” “LGBTQ exists.

“Well, there are no rules. I just want to say it’s a lot of fun. It’s good music. Come and dance – even if you’re good or bad or whatever – who cares? Guys, that’s it. “I just kind of accept that it’s a fun thing to do,” she also told WXMI.
“Parents carrying their children on their shoulders, and I think it’s really great that the children are so used to it,” Hoffman told the station.

The event featured appearances by queens from the Michigan Drag Brunch, the station said.
