Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart gift Clyde Frazier, Mike Breen jerseys

Mike Breen and Walt “Clyde” Frazier may be the best duo in Knicks history. On Tuesday night, they celebrated New York’s iconic basketball team’s 25th anniversary as a broadcast team.

But when Frazier and Breen opened the MSG broadcast, another dynamic duo wanted to join in the celebration.

Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart approached both broadcasters just as the telecast was about to begin and handed out two autographed No. 25 jerseys to commemorate the anniversary.

“Sorry to interrupt, I just wanted to say Happy 25th Anniversary,” Brunson said as he handed Breen his jersey.

“Congratulations, gentleman,” Hart added, presenting Frazier with a jersey that read “Mike & Clyde” on the back.

“Thank you for everything you will do,” Hart continued.

Frazier jokingly yelled at them as they left, “Go home winning tonight.”

Clyde Frazier and Mike Breen were given commemorative jerseys.

In fact, the Knicks won the game, beating the undermanned Grizzlies 123-113 at the Garden, despite Brunson suffering an apparent ankle injury, as the dynamic broadcasting duo celebrated their ninth anniversary.

Breen and Frazier have been calling games on the MSG network since the 1998-99 season, and during that time they’ve seen a mix of Knicks basketball, both good and bad.

Numerous tributes graced the occasion at the Knicks’ television headquarters, including a montage of well wishes from celebrities such as Tracy Morgan, Steve Schirripa, Ben Stiller, Justin Tuck and John Turturro.

The night was an emotional one for both of them, with Breen appearing emotional as he tried to return to the open after Brunson and Hart came in unexpectedly.

“This is so nice. Well, I have a lot to say to you during the night, but Clyde’s only goal tonight is not to cry. So you have to help me with that.” said Breen.

But Frazier joked, “Mike, I might be right there.”

“I can’t believe it’s been 25 years, but it’s been a fun journey,” Frazier added.
