EAST LANSDOWN, Pa. — Two police officers were injured Wednesday in a shooting at a suburban Philadelphia home that later became engulfed in flames, authorities said.
Delaware County emergency officials said officers were called to an East Lansdowne home after receiving a report of a child suffering gunshot wounds.
Officials said the officers were immediately struck by gunfire, injuring two others. Both were reportedly taken to Pennsylvania Presbyterian Hospital. There was no immediate word on their status.
SWAT members and agents from other departments rushed to the scene. Shortly after, flames were seen coming from the top floor of the three-story house.
There is currently no word on the safety of those inside, including the child who was reported injured.
