Attorneys representing the family of Clayton McGeeney, one of three Kansas City men found dead in frigid conditions after an NFL game party, say Jordan was the organizer of the NFL game party. He said his client needed to know whether there was any “intent or malice” in Willis’ actions. For two days he did not report the presence of a corpse in the garden.

Tony Cagey told FOX News Digital that if Willis is “not guilty” of the deaths of McGeeney, Ricky Johnson and David Harrington, “I feel nothing but sympathy” for Willis. “It’s very difficult to explain why you didn’t notice,” he said. “What happened to his friends when they were frozen in his backyard for two days?”

Friends were last seen alive inside Willis’ Northwest 83rd Terrace home after the Kansas City Chiefs’ victory over the Los Angeles Chargers on Jan. 7. It is said that it was witnessed. Kagai confirmed that drugs were detected in the man’s system, but preliminary toxicology results shared with them said his loved ones were searched by police but he could not confirm who was found. There wasn’t.

“I think so…if it was Monday morning. [Willis] “I called 911 when I realized my friend had passed away overnight. I don’t know if this will be talked about,” Kagai said Wednesday. It would circulate in the Kansas City market for a few days and then disappear. ”

Kagey said McGeeney’s mother, Nancy Bossert, and his fiance, April Mahoney, tried to contact McGeeney and then Willis during the two days the men were missing. That’s what it means. Kagai said “multiple people” from a “close-knit” group of friends who lived within a one-mile radius made phone calls and home visits to try to find them.

However, their deaths were not reported until the evening of January 9, when Mahoney, in desperation, entered Willis’ property and discovered one of the men’s bodies, Kagai said. Kansas City police would discover two more bodies behind the house. A video recorded by a neighbor showed Willis wearing boxer shorts and handcuffed while police searched him.

It is unclear exactly when and how they died. Kagey said the man’s “several personal items” left in Willis’ home after his death raised further questions.

“how [Willis] Don’t you know what happened to his friend? That’s a big part of what families want to know,” Kagai said. “We may never find the answer to that, or we may just never have an answer.”

“It’s very difficult to think of a scenario where something unusual didn’t happen,” he continued.

Kagai said there was “disappointment” in the way KCPD communicated the man’s death to the media. The department previously told Fox News Digital that the death was “100 percent not being investigated as a homicide.”

“I don’t think they were in a position to say that. It’s clear that the investigation is ongoing,” Kagai said. “I don’t know how they made that decision, and I don’t know if it helped… When you say there was no sign of foul play, there was no shooting, no stabbing, that doesn’t mean it’s illegal.” means nothing happened. …I don’t know if it was handled in an ideal way. ”

“I’m not saying anyone did anything intentionally,” Kagai said. ”[But] I don’t think there is any need to seek criminal responsibility. ”

“Regardless of who was responsible, the fact is that three healthy young men were celebrating with friends and each other. They ended up dying,” Kagai said. “One of Nancy’s main concerns is that something like this doesn’t happen to anyone else in the future.”

Kagai said the media attention the incident has received is a “double-edged sword” for his clients. On the one hand, they want to “grieve in peace.” Meanwhile, Kagai believes he can use the caution to “apply gentle but effective pressure” on KCPD to force a more thorough investigation.

Once a full autopsy and toxicology report is available and police complete a forensic examination of the electronic devices (at least two of the man’s family members have been asked for their son’s cell phone password), Platte County The prosecutor’s office will decide whether to file criminal charges against Willis or not. Alex Wiemer Lee, the fifth party guest to leave the house alive on January 7th.

Representatives from the Harrington, Johnson and McGeeney families met with prosecutors last week. “The prosecutor’s office wanted the family to know that this situation is being thoroughly investigated,” Kagai said, adding “I will cooperate with the family in the future.”

“There are still many unanswered questions and understandable skepticism as to why this happened,” Kagai said. “Attempts are being made to answer these questions.”

Kagey also said that “some members of Willis’ family have publicly expressed skepticism” about Willis’ announcement that he was admitted to an inpatient rehabilitation facility after his friend’s death.

“To the perverse, the timing may seem a little questionable,” Kagai said. “On the other hand, he may have a substance abuse problem; [needed] Just to check on rehab. ”

However, he said only the results of the investigation could prove whether the man was responsible for his death or not guilty, but in the meantime, Kagai has a background in criminal defense and will not be able to comment on the case until then. I can’t help but have doubts.

“We want to know where exactly their bodies were found. What were they wearing? What was in the house?” Kagai asked. “If there was drug use, was the cleansing done during those two days?” [before the bodies were discovered]?When law enforcement arrived, were there any visible tools?”

“Many of these questions may never be answered to people’s satisfaction,” Kagai says.

But Mr McGeeney’s family is patiently awaiting the outcome of the police investigation until further information is released, adding: “Their position is we don’t know if we will.” [an investigation was] Because we don’t know how it was done whether it was done properly or improperly. ”
