According to FOX29the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office said investigators believe three children and three adults were inside the East Lansdowne home during the fire.
Authorities said they found three bodies in the charred wreckage, including that of the gunman.
The remaining three people are presumed dead, authorities said.

“All individuals who were in the home at the time of the fire are presumed deceased at this time,” District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said at a news conference Thursday afternoon in front of Penn Presbyterian Hospital.
Authorities said they believe the suspect got into an argument and shot one of the children.

According to FOX 29, authorities confirmed that the grandparents told them they saw their son shoot their daughter and then leave the house. Investigators believe it was the grandfather who called 911.
Investigators combing through the wreckage found a torso and a rifle, but Stolsteimer would not speculate on the identity of the victims.

“I can’t say who it is or anything like that, but we found the remains of a human torso and a rifle. That’s all I can tell you at this point,” Stollsteimer said.

The news comes as Officer David Shazza, who was shot in the leg while responding to a home Wednesday afternoon, was released from the hospital Thursday afternoon.
Shazza and Officer John Meehan, who has been with the Lansdowne Police Department for 22 years, were shot outside their home on Wednesday.
Officials said Meehan, 44, suffered a severe blow to his left arm that required “extended surgery” and treatment. He is expected to be released Thursday night or Friday.

Officers were responding to a 911 call reporting an 11-year-old girl had been shot.
When officers arrived, the suspect allegedly fired “immediate gunfire” from inside the property, firing approximately 40 to 50 shots at officers.
The district attorney said officers contacted a nearby station, which responded and “dragged” two officers from the home after the shooting.

For reasons unknown at this time, a fire broke out inside the house, which soon engulfed the entire property, burning it down.
Footage from the scene showed intense flames rising from the roof and top floor of the three-story home, then spreading to the lower floors, destroying much of the building.
