In the wake of special counsel Robert Hur’s report that revealed a severe decline in President Joe Biden’s mental acuity, White House lawyers said Hur’s press conference took place in October. He called for caution and harshly criticized the special council’s claims. They consider “inappropriate criticism of the president’s memory” to be “inaccurate, unfounded, and false.”

Furthermore, White House Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates cited this section, emphasizing the part in which the president’s defense advisers responded to the special council’s findings, stating, “The handling of the report on President Biden’s memory is accurate, I don’t think it’s appropriate.” The report uses highly prejudicial language that describes a common event among witnesses: their inability to remember events that occurred years ago. ”

In response, White House lawyers wrote a letter to the special counsel calling the report’s treatment of President Biden’s memory inaccurate and inappropriate, and calling the report’s “highly biased statements.” insists that “there is no place for it to be included in the Department of Justice’s report.”
