Bob Costas knocks Biden’s ‘hubris’ campaign: He must ‘be shown the door’

Emmy Award-winning sportscaster Bob Costas on Friday criticized President Biden’s “arrogant” campaign and called out the commander-in-chief for what is expected to be another showdown between Biden and former President Trump in the 2024 election. “We should show them the door,” he said.

Costas was a guest on Friday night’s “Real Time with Bill Maher” panel and suggested that having Biden as the Democratic nominee for the 2024 election would not be a wise idea.

“If Mr. Biden is so arrogant that he doesn’t understand the best interests of his party and, more importantly, his country, he should be shown the door,” Kostas said.

Costas explained that while former President Trump is a “threat to democracy,” he remains skeptical that Biden will be able to defeat the former president in a rematch during the November general election.

“Because if Trump is a threat to democracy, and in many ways he is, so too are Democrats in danger of becoming just as reckless as Republicans have long been shameless.” said Kostas. “If they’re going to send this guy out, if Trump is a monster, and in many ways he is, are you going to send this guy out to slay dragons? I don’t think so. .”

Costas added that the only reason Biden won the 2020 election was “because he’s not Trump.”

The former NBC sports commentator added that he feels Biden intends to serve only one term, a sentiment echoed by Maher.

“He never promised he would never run again,” Maher said. “But he ran on a big tip, yeah. He said, ‘I think of myself as a bridge,’ and it’s falling apart.” Yes, “I consider myself a bridge.” I read that as “one term,” okay. ”

Maher suggested Democrats still have time to replace Biden, suggesting he believes that would give Democrats a better chance of securing the Oval Office in November. .
