On Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Prime Time” on Friday, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) responded to the backlash over the special counsel’s report’s claims about President Joe Biden’s health.
Vance said Biden’s attitude is “all about ego.”
“Okay, Senator, I heard Dean Phillips say he’s a decent human being,” FNC host Jesse Watters said. “I think any sane person looks at the country first. Is Joe Biden putting the country first?”
“Look, Jesse, I don’t think so,” Vance replied. “I think this is all about ego. If he’s putting the country first, he’s made it clear to everyone, even to many Democrats, that he can’t do the job. I agree with Dean Phillips that what I saw yesterday was sad. This person is clearly incapable of doing his job. He clearly made a mistake. But I… The saddest thing is not about Joe Biden, but about the people he will lead as president of the United States.”
“And I’m just answering this point, Jesse,” he continued. “Sure, Joe Biden lost a step, but so did Donald Trump,” you hear Democrats say from time to time. I don’t see how you can compare them to Donald Trump and say that these two are on the same page mentally. That’s obviously false and not true.”
“Trump has energy,” Vance added. “He has the memory. He has the zeal to get the job done. Biden is a guy who clearly needs to hide in the basement if he has any chance of getting re-elected, because if they’re going to be in the next six Because if we were to present that image to the American people for months, we would win by a landslide. Jesse, it’s scary to think that this guy has the nuclear codes and controls our national defense.”
