Democratic strategist James Carville said President Biden’s absence from the pre-Super Bowl press conference was a “sign” that the administration has little confidence in him.
“Even though you’re not even close to that as a TV viewer, you have the opportunity to do a 20-25 minute interview that day and you don’t do it, it’s kind of a sign that your staff and you don’t do it.” I have so much faith in you, there is no other way than to read this.” Carville Said said in a recent interview on CNN’s “Smerconish.”
This is the second year in a row that the president will not attend a press conference before an important game. Biden’s decision not to participate comes as he is facing negative publicity following the release of the special counsel’s report on his handling of classified documents.
Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report released Thursday concluded that no charges should be brought against the president, but noted that Biden has problems with memory and recall.
“We also think it is likely that Mr. Biden will appear before the jury at trial as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory, just as he was when we interviewed him.” Mr. Hoa wrote.
“Based on our direct interactions with and observations of him, he is someone many jurors would want to have a reasonable doubt about.” It would be difficult to convince a jury that he should be convicted of a serious felony that requires a state of mind.”
Biden fired back at the report in a fiery news conference Thursday night, defending his memory and mental capacity.
“My memory is fine. … Look at what I’ve been doing since I became president. … How did this happen? I think I just forgot what was going on,” he said. Said.
However, at the same press conference, the president confused the Egyptian president with the Mexican president.
