Drake places $1.15M Taylor Swift-inspired Super Bowl wager

If Drake’s curse is still alive, San Francisco 49ers fans might want to start celebrating now.

The rapper is known for “cursing” players and teams due to his previous relationship with them.

Most recently, he posted a photo of himself wearing a Shohei Ohtani jersey when the two-way MLB superstar was rumored to be headed to Drake’s hometown of Toronto for a meeting with the Blue Jays.

The rumors turned out to be false, and Ohtani signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers shortly thereafter.

Drake too bet $850,000 Logan Paul knocked out Dillon Danis in October, but Paul actually won by disqualification and lost the bet.

The “God’s Plan” artist also had close ties to members of the 2016 Golden State Warriors and 2019 Alabama Crimson Tide. Drake also developed a friendship with Johnny Manziel while in college, but Manziel never had any success in the NFL.

Most of the jokes have died down since his hometown Toronto Raptors, the team he represents as a global ambassador, won the 2019 NBA Finals.

However, it is clear that the curse is not completely dead.

And that’s bound to make Kansas City Chiefs fans nervous.

Drake is a partner at Stake, a gambling site where bettors wager cryptocurrencies. On the site, he bet $1.15 million on the Chiefs to win this year’s Super Bowl.

Apparently inspired by Taylor Swift.

“You can’t bet on Swifty,” Drake wrote in an Instagram caption.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, the pop sensation is dating Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce.

The Chiefs are the underdogs, with a line somewhere between 1.5 and 2.5.
