Cohen predicts Trump will be convicted ‘on all charges’ in hush money case

Former President Trump’s former personal lawyer Michael Cohen said he expects Trump to be found guilty “on all charges” in the hush money case in New York.

“Based on the information I have, and based on corroborating testimony from so many people as well as documentary evidence, I believe he will be convicted on all charges.” said Cohen. Said on CNN’s “Erin Burnett Outfront.”

Cohen also called the case “very simple” and said he expected the case to last about a month.

“At most, it’s going to be a four-week lawsuit,” Cohen said.

Lawyers for the former president failed to postpone the hush money trial Thursday, and a New York judge set a date for jury selection to begin on March 25.

“Instead of campaigning in South Carolina or other states, I’m stuck here. Election interference. No one in this country has ever seen anything like it. This is shameful. And it is, in fact, a disgraceful situation,” President Trump said after the hearing.

“And we have to understand that. We’re going to be here during the day and campaign at night.”

When Barnett brought up the fact that Cohen had to testify in the hush-money case, Cohen said he had been subpoenaed and that testifying would not be “fun.”

“They become personal and uncomfortable,” Cohen said.

The New York hush money case is one of many legal troubles currently facing the former president. He also faces two federal lawsuits related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 election and his handling of classified documents, as well as a separate election subversion case in Georgia. But the New York case is set to be Trump’s first criminal trial.
