Former 2020 presidential candidate Andrew Yang believes President Biden will not be able to complete a second term, saying there is a “clear difference” between now and four years ago.
Yang, a supporter of Biden’s Democratic challenger, Rep. Dean Phillips, warned about Biden’s mental acuity. Interview with Free Press On Friday, Yang compared his experience with the president in the 2020 presidential race, with whom he faced off in the Democratic primary, to what he recently witnessed in the White House.
“I saw the president speak in person two weeks ago, and there’s a clear difference between now and, say, three or four years ago,” Yang told Michael Moynihan of the Free Press. “I mean, I was in the same primary four years ago, so I’ve been close to Joe the whole time. So he speaks, he comes off the stage, and I speak.”
“Even in those days,” Mr. Moynihan interjected.
“Oh, yeah,” Yang replied. “It’s wild. And this is what I’m angry about with the mainstream media. They seem to be ignoring what so many of us can see.”

Yang called former President Trump the “strong favorite” to win the presidential election, based on polls showing Trump’s significant support compared to 2020, especially among independents.
He shot down the “magic thinking” of Democrats who are convinced either Biden will do well in the polls or Trump will be in jail by November.
“Part of me is like a man. Joe Biden is undermining that superpower just by running for office. His biggest superpower is that he’s a good human being and that he’s doing good for his country.” “We’re trying to do the right thing by running for office. But he’s doing the wrong thing by running,” Yang said. “He has overstayed his welcome. He is putting his ego ahead of his national interest and will be punished for that.”
