Mr. Wilson is the bestest coach Arkansas Tech softball could ever want

The 2023-2024 NFL season is officially set, February is slowly moving into March, and spring is in the air. Pitchers and catchers have reported to training camp ahead of the MLB season. March Madness is just around the corner, F1 is coming back to life, and college baseball and softball seasons are starting.

Towards the latter point, we are here SB Nation As I was perusing some rosters this weekend, something caught my eye. At Arkansas Tech, the team counts one “Mr. Martin” among its softball coaches. Wilson” is listed as the team’s “emotional support coach.” His email address is not listed and his social media accounts are not visible.

This item caught our eye and we investigated it further.

And I think it was really good.

“Who is the best assistant coach in college sports? Yes, Mr. Wilson!”

Yes, Division II program Arkansas lists Mr. Wilson, who wears a very handsome bow tie in Arkansas Tech colors, as the team’s “emotional support coach.”

And I’m sure he’s doing a good job. The Golden Suns are off to a 7-2 start with two shutout wins over Southern Missouri and No. 11 Central Oklahoma. Opening day of the Raising Cane Softball Festival, co-sponsored by Central Oklahoma and Nazarene Southern. They have not released their conference schedule yet, but their record is near the top of the Great American Conference standings.
