Blued Colt Python: Balanced, Accurate, Legendary

Colt reintroduces the legendary Python .357 Magnum revolver in a blue finish. This firearm is legendary, with perfect balance and deadly accuracy.

The Python was introduced by Colt in 1955 and is an icon in the world of revolvers. It is immediately recognizable by the ventilation ribs along the length of the barrel.

The reintroduced Blue Python has a barrel length of 4.25 inches or 6 inches and can hold six rounds of ammunition. The model we shot had a 4.25-inch barrel, from which he fired .357 Magnum rounds and a variety of .38 Special rounds.

Double action has a smooth trigger pull, and single action has a crisp and clean trigger pull. The revolver’s weight (42 ounces) helps control recoil and keep the firearm flat when firing the powerful .357 Magnum round. Recoil is even more manageable when shooting .38 Special or .38 Special +P.

The blue python’s balance gives you a sense of security just by picking it up and holding it. And that balance, combined with a great trigger, manageable recoil, and famous Colt barrel, is part of the combination that delivers accuracy on every shot.

Blue pythons will likely be out on the wild more often in the future, and they will likely be carried as secondary weapons when hunting hogs and coyotes. Additionally, this handgun will be the perfect companion for camping trips in the mountains, where help is far away but threat is close at hand.

In fact, the blue python is so gorgeous that gun owners might want to put it in a shadow box and hang it on their wall like a piece of art. The only problem with that choice is that there’s more to the blue python’s beauty than the surface.
