Charlamagne of God said on Sunday that President Biden is an “uninspiring candidate” and insisted there is nothing about the president that would make people “want to listen to him.”
ABC host Jonathan Karl asked Charlamagne why Biden’s message about President Trump being a threat to democracy didn’t resonate.
“There’s nothing about Joe Biden that makes you want to listen to him, he’s just a bland candidate,” he said. “He should rely on people who are more inspirational than him, more charismatic than he is. And if he wants to be called the brains of the behind-the-scenes operations, that’s what I think he should be. It sounds crazy for people to think that, and say that about the president of the United States, but he just doesn’t have the energy of a protagonist.”
Charlamagne suggested that Biden should rely more on “charismatic” Democrats like Vice President Harris and the governor. Gavin Newsom and Josh Shapiro.

He said the reason has nothing to do with age and everything to do with Biden himself.
“Donald Trump is, like, four years, three years younger than President Biden. But he looks much younger. You know, he seems to have more energy. And I always say this about him: Donald Trump. “Mr. Trump appears to be more sincere about his lies than Joe Biden is about the truth,” he said during a media appearance.
The radio host stressed that Trump is an “absolute threat to democracy,” and said Democrats have been saying that for years, but this time it was true.

Kahl also asked whether Harris, whom he has criticized, is living up to expectations.
“No, she hasn’t. But I don’t think it’s too late for her to change course. You know, I think the vice president right now has historically always played that role. “Their role is basically to parrot the president and speak for the president,” he said. “She serves her unique purpose, right? Because she is the first woman of color in her position. There are some things you can’t say.”
Charlamagne previously said he was upset about his support for Harris and Biden in 2020.

“I learned a lesson from that experience,” he told Politico in January. “Once they got into the White House, she… kind of disappeared.”
But while Charlamagne believes Biden is a “shy elected official,” he also claimed that Trump is “the end of democracy as we know it.”
