Prince William attended the annual BAFTA Film Awards in London on Sunday, where he bonded with Hollywood’s elite, but was absent from his usual plus-one.
Conspicuously absent from the line of succession to the throne is his wife, Duchess Kate, who continues to recover from abdominal surgery.
William, who is chairman of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, was the guest of honor at the event.

Historically, William attended award ceremonies with his wife. The Prince of Wales resumed royal duties last week and made his first official appearance on February 14 since the Princess of Wales was hospitalized in January and King Charles III announced his cancer diagnosis earlier that month.
He hosted an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle to recognize outstanding individual achievements. Royal expert Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital that the ceremony, normally held at Buckingham Palace, was moved to Windsor so Prince William could be closer to his wife while he is recuperating at his home in Adelaide Cottage. He said it was likely to have taken place in a castle.
