Police say a group of uninvited children tried to attend a 1-year-old’s birthday party in Allentown Saturday night and are suspected of ending up killing a relative of the baby.

Holihan said a preliminary investigation revealed that one of the two groups was made up of individuals who had not been invited to the event, and that an altercation outside the gathering venue was suspected over the guest list. He said it was clear. The shooting reportedly occurred after an uninvited group attempted to enter the birthday party.
Investigators believe at least one person fired several shots at Dalmasi in an attempt to break up the party before the group fled the scene. Officials said the 33-year-old victim died shortly after Allentown police and medical personnel arrived, according to CBS News.
