Ex-Met Lenny Dykstra surrounded by ‘hot nurses’ in stroke recovery

The man who broke the news about Lenny Dykstra’s stroke provided another update on his recovery.

“He’s doing very well. He should be transferred to a rehab facility soon for treatment. There were a lot of hot nurses around him. He’s doing well,” the man said – Pajamas from crossingbroad.com — in an update posted on Dolan’s Bar X account. “He’s a champion. In Game 3 of the 1986 World Series, his stroke was an oil can void, so what’s he doing? He’s gonna knock it out of the park. , that’s what he’s doing.”

Boyd’s reference to the World Series was when Dykstra led off with a home run in Game 3 at Fenway Park, giving the Mets a 7-1 victory and their first series victory.

Dykstra appears to be doing well since suffering a stroke earlier this month and being hospitalized in Los Angeles.

Dolan’s Bar in Ridley Park, Pennsylvania was the first to announce the news.

The former Mets and Phillies outfielder has since been released from the intensive care unit, former teammates Daryl Strawberry and Kevin Mitchell told the Post on Thursday.

“He knew it was me, so that’s always a good sign,” Ms. Strawberry said. “He is on the road to recovery.”

Dykstra, 61, has kept her X account active over the past week, taking photos like this: Former teammate Ron Darling and Pennsylvania State Senator John Fetterman In another post.

PJ at Dolan’s Bar said he will continue to provide updates on Dykstra.

Dykstra hit .285/.375/.419/.793 in his 12-season career and won a ring with the Mets in 1986.

“Stay tuned here. We’ll let you know what’s going on at Nails, but please keep your thoughts and prayers out for our boy Lenny,” PJ said in the video. “He’s going to swing for the fences again because he’s a champion and that’s what he does.
