DJ plays Cole
DJ LeMahieu faced Gerrit Cole in a live batting practice showdown, and in the third encounter, Cole hit two line drives off a curveball before returning the favor with a strikeout.

In the bottom of the second inning of Ian Hamilton’s live batting practice, Gleyber Torres and Anthony Volpe hit hard ground balls to Hamilton.
However, the relief pitcher avoided damage by catching Torres’ glove and jumping over Volpe.
It caught my eye
Top pitching prospects Will Warren and Chase Hampton took live batting practice against Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, Giancarlo Stanton, Alex Verdugo and Trent Grisham.

“They definitely played a role today against the big boys,” coach Aaron Boone said.
Thursday schedule
The Yankees continue full-team workouts at Steinbrenner Field ahead of Saturday’s Grapefruit League opener against the Tigers in Lakeland, Florida.
