Ron DeSantis Vows to Sign Bill Permitting Release of Epstein Documents

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis vowed this week to sign a bill passed by the Florida Legislature allowing the release of documents related to the Florida case involving the late disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The Florida Senate passed Senate Bill 234, which allows the release of testimony and evidence from a 2006 grand jury investigation.

The House version of the bill passed earlier this month, and DeSantis announced this week that he would actually sign it.

“All files related to Jeffrey Epstein’s criminal activities should be made public,” DeSantis said.

“We are pleased that Congress has taken action to release grand jury materials from the Florida case as the federal government continues to obstruct accountability.”

“I will sign the bill into law,” DeSantis added.

A lawsuit filed by two of Epstein’s accusers alleges that Epstein provided his abuse victims with car service and cellphones, tracked their every move, spotted their “dirt” and tried to silence them. He said he would offer hundreds of dollars in “hush money.”

The lawsuit reportedly does not say what happened to the surveillance footage or whether Epstein kept footage of these activities inside his New York mansion.
