Video captures brutal beating and robbery of elderly woman by gang of teenage thugs in Texas: ‘They could have killed me’

A cellphone video captured an elderly woman being assaulted and robbed by teenagers in Texas.

margaret schultz told KENS-TV She was walking to the HEB grocery store on Valentine’s Day when she was attacked by a group of teenagers, police said.

Video shows the thugs surrounding the 78-year-old woman and then throwing her to the ground.

“They were in the corner and they got up and grabbed me from here and pulled me down. It was scary because I didn’t know what was going on,” she said.

According to San Antonio police, the attack occurred on West Cesar Chavez Boulevard around 4:30 p.m.

Schultz said she was going to the store to buy dog ​​food. She lives with her sister in a house near the scene of the attack.

“I’ve been walking for a long time. I’m going to HEB. I’m going to Humana,” she said. “I know how to drive, but I don’t have a car. I wish I had a car.”

Someone witnessed the attack and called police. Schultz said they stole an envelope from her containing $900.

Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in the incident.

“They could have killed me,” Schultz said.

She said the incident would not prevent her from continuing to walk in the area. She had also left her last message to her teens who attacked her.

“I’m hurt, and I’m still hurting,” Schultz said. “If people want something, they can give it to them. It’s better than hurting people.”

She told KENS she believed she had seen one of the teens before the violent incident.
