3 gunrunners in NYC arrested after trying to sell weapons to informants: Report

Shakoya Hall and Zachary “J” Hampton were arrested in Manhattan on January 30th, and Kristen Cheng was arrested in her hometown of Staten Island.

The trio transported at least 13 weapons to the Big Apple by car and bus, and continued to resell them once they arrived in the five boroughs. Authorities suggested the three men were discussing the sale of 40 firearms.

A criminal complaint filed in Manhattan federal court says the guns found included handguns, extended magazines, semi-automatic handguns and at least one assault rifle. The three reportedly sold a weapon for $1,000 on October 16 on Staten Island. Less than a week later, Hall and Chen sold four more cars to the informant for about $5,000.

Hampton and Hall were eventually arrested after attempting to sell eight firearms for $13,500 at a Manhattan hotel.
