Two parents in Kent County, Michigan are accused of abusing their children for more than a decade and feeding them dog food mixed with milk, oatmeal and hot sauce, according to reports.

A local CBS station in Kalamazoo, Michigan, reported Friday that Chris and Alan Jones, a couple from Wyoming, Michigan, were arrested on three counts of child abuse and torture.

Court documents show the couple adopted three children, the department said. In 2013, the couple allegedly began abusing their three children.

Reported abuses include forcing the children to sleep in the garage in all weather conditions, and at times Chris Jones is accused of ripping up the carpet and forcing the children to sleep on concrete. There is also.

According to court documents, one of Jones’ foster children was seen eating food from the garbage because he was not fed at home while at school.

The Joneses are also accused of pushing the children down the stairs, hitting them while holding them down, and strangling them.
