Caleb Williams a heavy favorite

This is betting season for the NFL Draft, and whether Caleb Williams goes No. 1 overall could be key.

FanDuel’s odds for Williams to be selected with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft are -1,600, the highest odds in the legal sports betting market.

Other sportsbooks don’t go that far, but Williams still has impressive numbers at -1000 at DraftKings and -910 at BetRivers Sportsbook, the latter with odds of 90.1 percent. , implying that the former USC Trojan signal caller’s name will be first heard in April. .25 Detroit.

Interestingly, Williams (owner of the No. 1 pick) to be drafted by the Bears has -900 odds on DraftKings.

Although you can’t bet on this, DraftKings’ implied odds project that the Bears have a roughly 100/1 chance of trading the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft.

It’s clear oddsmakers believe Williams separates himself from other consensus top quarterbacks such as North Carolina’s Drake Maye and LSU’s Jaden Daniels.

Maye is likely to go to Washington with the No. 2 pick, possibly remaining as a wild card in the draft at No. 3 if the Patriots decide to sign veteran draftee Marvin Harrison Jr.

At the bottom of the board is Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman, with odds of 200/1.

Hartman will be 25 by the time training camp begins in August, but University of Michigan running back Blake Collum has the same chance of being the No. 1 pick, despite his struggles down the stretch.
