On FNC’s “Jesse Watters Primetime” on Monday, television personality “Dr. Phil McGraw explained his frustration with the immigration dialogue in the United States.
McGraw explained that people are reluctant to speak out about illegal immigration for fear of being labeled.
“For the vast majority of Americans, the border seems very obvious,” FNC host Jesse Watters said. “Why does such a deadly problem still exist?”
“Well, I think people are afraid to take a stand like this, because if they take a stand and say we should control the border, they get labeled anti-immigrant, and all these different ‘Because you’re going to be labeled as hating a country where people are coming from,’ McGraw responded. “But that’s beside the point, isn’t it? Because we’re not talking about immigration. We’re talking about illegal immigration. I’m pro-immigration.”
“This country needs immigrants,” he continued. “The birth rate was 1.6. We need 2.1 to maintain the infrastructure here. I welcome immigrants to this country, but we need to know what they are like. We need to know who is coming into our country. We need to be able to classify these people. And we need to know who is coming into our country. We need to be able to classify these people. And we need to know who is coming into our country. “If people who are on terrorist watch lists come into the country, those people certainly need to be filtered and stopped. And if they enter the United States illegally, it’s a felony.”
