A wild night in Tennessee appears to have taken a toll on the son of a Mississippi congressman.
Last Friday night, after 11 p.m. Officer Cody Bergquist He was patrolling Broadway. Broadway is a street in downtown Nashville that is home to many popular bars, restaurants, and other nightlife spots. Bergquist was standing outside Jason Aldean’s Kitchen and Rooftop Bar when a “clear plastic cup filled with ice” suddenly fell from above, hitting him in the left leg. Bergquist then met with bar security to determine who had dropped the cup of ice over the edge of the roof. After reviewing security footage and consulting multiple witnesses, Bergquist and his security team determined that the cup drop was “intentional” and that Michael Guest, the 20-year-old son of Rep. Michael Guest (R-Miss. Washington), It was determined that it was written by “Patton” Guest. ) was the culprit.
When officers approached the guest at the property, he allegedly had an alcoholic beverage in each hand, even though he is not yet 21 years old. It is unclear how he obtained the drink.
Authorities later questioned him about the incident.He initially denied dropping the ice cup, but later reportedly It cracked down on more than just underage drinking.
This seemingly reckless prank had some serious consequences. Guest was charged with assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct and possession of a person under the age of 21, and was later released on $2,500 bail.
Guest’s father, Congressman Guest, is serving his third term in Mississippi’s 3rd Congressional District. He is also a member of the Law Enforcement Committee and chairman of the House Ethics Committee. Like all members of the House of Representatives except those who are retiring, Guest will be up for re-election this November.
Rep. Guest’s office did not respond to Blaze News’ request for comment.
