“Our plan is working,” President Joe Biden told police chiefs during a White House meeting regarding his crime policy.
But Wednesday’s announcement came amid a flurry of media reports about brutal crimes committed by uninvestigated and unidentified immigrants that Biden plans to release into the United States.
In Georgia, for example, Laken Riley, a nurse-in-training, was murdered on February 22, and the suspect was a Venezuelan immigrant who was welcomed to the United States by Alejandro Mayorkas, the Biden administration’s border director.
In Virginia, another illegal alien from Venezuela, Renzo Mendoza Montes, arrested He was charged with child sexual abuse on February 22nd.
In Illinois, four immigrant men allegedly attacked and robbed a 48-year-old man on a Chicago train on February 17th.
In Philadelphia’s western suburbs, police have identified at least three immigrant gangs that have stolen thousands of dollars worth of merchandise since January, according to WPVI-TV.
Biden did not mention the crime wave caused by immigrants.
“As president, public safety and crime reduction will be my administration’s top priorities,” Biden said at a White House meeting of police chiefs, enumerating massive spending to combat the spike in crime that began in 2014. Before doing so, Biden continued:
Our plan is going well. As everyone at this table knows, we still have a lot of work to do. That’s why we’re here today. My administration will choose progress over politics, and communities across the country will be safer as a result. [of] policy. There is no greater responsibility to ensure the safety of our families, children, communities, and nation.
Biden’s surge in crimes committed by immigrants comes as former President Donald Trump spotlighted the damage. President Trump declared on February 24, “There is a new category of immigration crime, and it will be much tougher than the violent crimes and crimes we knew.”
“This is mass immigration… No other country in the world would tolerate this,” Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Louisiana) told Fox News on February 27. “And we are now paying the price in real time with real Americans.” [crime] Victims. ”
After Biden’s brief speech, reporters fielded a number of questions, but he said nothing about immigration crimes.
Biden’s invitees included the police chiefs of Miami, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, Buffalo, Detroit, Chicago and Detroit.
Biden and his fellow Democrats are touting a significant drop in violent crime during their 2024 campaign.
However, this opinion points out that Democrats helped spark a historic and deadly crime wave while supporting the anti-police cause of the Black Lives Matter movement from 2014 to the 2020 election. This is disputed by some critics.

Overall, Democrats’ 2024 campaign plan claims to offer good policies in areas where Democrats are weak, including immigration, Biden’s age, crime, the economy, and government expansion.
In crime, for example, January NBC Poll 1,000 registered voters were asked whether Trump or Biden did a better job of “fighting crime and violence.” Biden’s approval rating was 29%, while Trump’s approval rating was 50%.
