Just when you thought the corporate media had run out of new ideas, Netflix released a trailer for “Chicken Nuggets” on Wednesday that looks downright ridiculous.
The premise of this aptly titled television series is that a young Korean woman named Mina (Kim Yoo-jung) has two men, her father (Loo Seung-ryong) and an admirer (Ahn Jae-hong), “enter a strange world.” This is the story. If you make it with a machine… it becomes chicken nuggets!?” according to Follow the instructions provided by Netflix.And that trailer It’s totally weird in a good way.
It begins with two men talking to a small chicken nugget and shows how Mina got into a harsh predicament. “Please admit it’s all a joke,” her father demands of her admirers after revealing her situation. “Let me pinch your cheek a little and let it slide.” Dad seems like a really nice guy, doesn’t he? Ha! It’s obvious that you have never spent time with your Korean father. His words and expressions don’t match, and his expressions are frightening.
From here, things get even crazier and more hilarious in what Netflix calls a “crisply fried comedy.” (Related: Nothing Stranger Than the ‘Poor Things’ Trailer)
South Korea has provided us with some of the best television and movies in recent years, thanks to the archipelago’s blossoming entertainment industry. Other favorites are “Squid Game” and “Train to BusanBoth will keep you on the edge of your seat. “Chicken Nuggets” seems to be the polar opposite of those shows, but it looks just as great.
The series will be released on March 15th. please do not worry. You don’t have to read subtitles if you don’t want to. It looks like some pretty good dubbing is being done (finally).
