Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) said Wednesday on CNN’s “The Source” that he has no intention of voting for former President Donald Trump over President Joe Biden for president.
Anchor Caitlan Collins asked, “Would you vote for Donald Trump over Joe Biden?”
Mr. Romney replied, “No, absolutely not.”
“For me, there are two things that determine who I want to lead our country, and the other is who is the role model president for my children and grandchildren,” he added. One is their position and policy. And when it comes to foreign policy, at least as far as I understand his policies and domestic policies, I’m not aligned with Donald Trump. Yes, I agree with many of his domestic policies. ”
Romney added, “But there’s another dimension beyond policy, and that’s personality.” And I believe that what makes America what it is, what makes America the most powerful nation on earth and the leader of the planet, is the character of the people who have been our leaders and presidents. I think. But so do mothers, fathers, church leaders, university presidents, and so on. If we were to have a president with such a lack of character, it would have a huge impact on America’s character. And for me that’s the number one consideration. ”
