Stephen A. Smith Blasts Biden for Eating Fried Chicken with Black Family

ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith is slamming President Joe Biden for engaging in “racial metaphors” during a fried chicken dinner with a black family in North Carolina during the campaign trail.

Smith was referring to a YouTube video posted a few weeks ago by the Biden campaign in which he and North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper (D) grabbed fried chicken at a chain restaurant called Cookout. After getting food, Biden headed to the home of Eric Fitts and his two sons. There the four of them share a fried chicken dinner.

Stephen A. Smith watched the video and was troubled.

“First of all, we all know about racial metaphors, right?” Smith said Wednesday. Stephen A. Smith Show. “Racist metaphor. Have you ever heard of that? Where are the people who are going to sit there and try to exploit things to intimate things of a racially insensitive nature? ?So it’s not the best look for a black person to see the president and fried chicken together.”

Smith also criticized Biden’s dietary choices in light of his advanced age, saying he didn’t think a fried chicken dinner was something an 81-year-old man should be eating.

“What the hell are you doing eating fried chicken?” Smith continued. “You’re 81 years old! Why is 81 eating fried chicken? In many people’s eyes, you’re not in very good health, so eating fried chicken is the best way to be healthy.” It cannot be called a state.”

And he didn’t stop there. Smith then accused anyone who had the idea to engage the president in a “racist metaphor” that former President Trump would so easily use against him.

“I want to know who the hell came up with that idea!” he said. “Because you [Trump] And the Republicans are going to use that to their advantage, right? And they would be right to do so. Because, to be fair, folks, what would we say if we saw Donald Trump sitting in a black family eating fried chicken with his father and his son? You know, people out there would call that racist! Well, if it’s racist to him, I’m not saying it will be, but if it’s racist to him, why isn’t it racist to Biden? ”

Stephen A. Smith is best known for his passionate views on sports at ESPN. first take, runs Monday through Friday. But Stephen A. Smith’s show also expands its horizons to current events and politics.
