Tomorrow at 7 a.m., investigative journalist and Blaze Media correspondent Steve Baker is scheduled to turn himself in to the FBI. No one knows exactly what crime he committed.
What we do know is that Mr. Baker faces misdemeanor charges related to the January 6, 2021 Capitol report, but there are no specific charges he will face until his arrest. remains a mystery.
Baker first received threats from police two and a half years ago, in November 2021.
“Actually, they told my attorney at the time what the charges would be, but because I’m a little outspoken and vocal about what’s going on with me, at the time, the assistant U.S. attorney told the judge that… They told me they wouldn’t do something like that. Be happy with me,” he explains.
Baker told Glenn Beck that he believed that by going before the press after making the threat, he “strengthened it, accelerated it, made the candle brighter.”
“Why do you have to worry about protecting yourself in public?” Glenn asked, agitated.
When Mr. Baker first received the threat, his lawyer told the U.S. Attorney that his client should waive his First Amendment rights if he was under threat of persecution from the government. I asked him if he was claiming that.
“Then she said, ‘Oh, no, we’re not really saying that. It’s just that we’re concerned about him and his position,'” Baker explained. do.
“Fast forward two years under the current threat, and now he won’t tell us the charges. Literally, to quote a U.S. attorney, ‘because he tweets,'” he continued.
Ms. Baker says that when she appears in court tomorrow, she’s supposed to wear shorts and flip-flops because it’s easier to change into an orange jumpsuit and leg chain, but of course that’s not the real reason.
“This is retaliation,” Baker said.
“This is evil,” Glenn added, shocked. “It’s just evil.”
Meanwhile, protesters who participated in the riots and caused chaos as members of Antifa have faced no punishment from the government.
Steve explains that only those who are right-wing and sympathize with Donald Trump are prosecuted, calling it “selective prosecution.”
Of the 60 journalists who broke in through doors and broken windows on January 6, only two were recorded – one was a New Yorker reporter named Luke Mogelson; He was a journalist who spent much of his time working on Latino activities for the Trump campaign. They entered parallel to each other.
Although Mr. Mogelson was acquitted (perhaps because he leans to the left), the pro-Trump journalist was “charged with four misdemeanors and had over 20 investigators kill his wife and children in his home, and of course the obvious red dot. Baker said he attacked himself at 6:30 a.m. and was later “convicted.”

“I’ve been preparing for this for over two years. I’ve had it all planned out in my head. I’m not going to sleep tonight and I’m not going to try,” he tells Glenn.
