A 13-year-old boy was shot and killed in Brooklyn Thursday night, police said.
Police said the child was shot in the chest and arm near the corner of Brooklyn Avenue and St. Marks Street in Crown Heights.
Police received a 911 call about a man being shot at the scene around 10:40 p.m. and found the boy with multiple gunshot wounds to his body.
He was rushed to Kings County Hospital but could not be saved. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
No arrests have been made and the investigation continues.
Police have not released a motive for the shooting.
The child’s identity has not been released as police work to notify loved ones of his death.
