“The injuries we have had this season have weighed heavily on our entire program. None of us wanted it to end this way, so this decision is not one we take lightly,” the head coach said. Gail Fawkes said in a statement provided by the school. .
“Our team of young women is the strongest, most caring, most competitive team I have ever been a part of. They are an absolute joy to coach every day. Despite the difficult nature of how this season unfolded, our team never wavered and fought to the end.”
