Church of England Posts Job for Officer to ‘Deconstruct Whiteness’

The Church of England has sparked a backlash after recruiting staff for an anti-racism agency tasked with “dismantling whiteness”.

This week, the Anglican Diocese of the West Midlands announced It said it was looking for an “anti-racism practice officer” who would be paid £36,000 a year.

The post says this position involves identifying “internal and external resistance to addressing anti-racism issues in ways that deepen our understanding of equality and give everyone an equal role.” It has been stated.

Additionally, the work includes developing a consultancy for clergy and others to help “address systemic and individual racism and facilitate the development of pathways through which it can occur.” It will be done.

The Anti-Racism Officer said: ‘We must ensure that the structures, practices and actions of our entire church are inclusive of people from GMH (World Majority Heritage) and UKME (UKME) backgrounds and enable them to flourish. He joins an 11-person team dedicated to ensuring that ”

The CoE said the team will be dedicated to “dismantling whiteness” and “sharing theological insights from our cultural origins.”

The church, along with Liberation Party leader Laurence Fox, came under fire for a clearly anti-white job posting. Question: “Why does “whiteness” require “deconstruction”? Is there something wrong with white people? Doesn’t the Bible say that we are all created in the image of God? ”

“Why is the Church of England in league with others? The one with the horns,” Fox added.

The church has taken a radical left turn under Archbishop Justin Welby, including on issues around gender, immigration and climate change.

The church has become increasingly active in addressing racial issues following the resurgence of the Marxist Black Lives Matter movement following the death of George Floyd in the United States.For example, the CoE is officially I apologized Mr Welby orchestrated a second apology at the height of BLM protests, criticizing his historic role in the slave trade in 2006.
