Residents of a Texas town rang the alarm this week when a herd of 60 goats broke out of their enclosure and took over the road.
A herd of goats somehow escaped from their cage at Arlington’s Crystal Canyon Natural Area around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Officials believe runners may have released them.
Police were called to return the animals to the park, but Wild video shared by the Arlington Police Department.
“Oh, this is serious! Go back where you came from,” the officer can be heard saying on the body camera recording. “Who knew we were now goat owners?”
“Come on, goats…keep moving,” he said with a laugh, clapping his hands and pushing the herd forward.
The animals were rounded up and the herd was found unharmed. According to reports.
Hundreds of birds were brought in just last week as part of efforts to clear undergrowth and invasive plants in the area, reduce fire risk and keep it safe. According to CBS News.
Residents have been urged to leave the goats alone so they can “work undisturbed,” the report said.
