Trump advanced to the Republican nomination after winning the Iowa and Missouri caucuses and winning an overwhelming majority of delegates at the party’s convention in Michigan on Saturday.

Trump won the support of all contested delegates on Saturday, increasing his lead to 247 delegates compared to former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley’s 24 delegates.

A candidate needs to win 1,215 delegates to secure the Republican nomination.

Trump won the Republican caucuses in Michigan and Idaho on Saturday. All three states will receive delegates for the Republican presidential candidate.

Nikki Haley is still chasing her first win.

Trump won both races in Missouri, where Republicans received 54 delegates, and Michigan, which received 39 delegates on Saturday.

That’s more than the 12 at-large delegates President Trump secured in Michigan’s Republican primary on Tuesday.

Trump also won all 32 delegates in Idaho.

With Saturday’s three wins, Trump received 247 delegates nationwide, while Haley received 24 delegates.

The District of Columbia Republican Caucus will meet next Sunday. Super Tuesday is scheduled for this week, the biggest voting day of the year outside of the November election, with primaries in 16 states and American Samoa.
