TAMPA — Alex Verdugo was briefly ejected for an errant pitch.
The Yankees outfielder batted in the lineup Sunday with a left foot contusion, a day after being hit by a pitch in a game against the Orioles.
Even after Bardugo suffered the scrape, he continued to watch shag flies in the outfield during batting practice and seemed to be moving around without any problems, so the injury does not appear to be serious.

Verdugo was hit in the leg in the first inning Saturday, but briefly stumbled to base and remained in the game.
He took two more at-bats and played five innings in left field before being pulled with the remaining starting pitchers.
The former Red Sox outfielder was scheduled to play in his second back-to-back game of the spring on Sunday, but was replaced by Brandon Lockridge in the starting lineup about three hours before the first pitch against the Tigers at Steinbrenner Field. Participated.
