Teens Break into Unfinished Los Angeles Clippers Stadium

A pair of teenage TikTokers have infuriated local authorities after breaking into a new arena being built for the NBA team Los Angeles Clippers.

A video posted Thursday shows two boys climbing a ladder, over a wall, and even covered in dust to enter the unfinished $1 billion Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. The video even shows him hitting a hoop on the court.

The 90-second TikTok offers a sneak peek at the Clippers’ long-awaited new home, which shares Crypto.com Arena with the Los Angeles Lakers ahead of their move to Inglewood. This video earned him over 164,000 views in just 3 days.

The account, named “shawty_grandmaa,” had previously gone viral for posting a similar video of two people sneaking into a building. SoFi Stadiumalso located in Inglewood. dodger stadium In Los Angeles.

A 2023 video also shows one of the teenagers jumping over the fence onto the field and being tackled by a security guard during a soccer match between Arsenal and Barcelona.

“No fines or anything?” one commenter asked.

“Well, my parents had to come pick me up because I’m under 18, but they just said if I came back, I would indeed be arrested,” the TikToker replied.

The teens made no effort to hide their faces or identities in the Clippers videos, even posting to a camera on the roof of Intuit Dome.

“We have since identified the pair and their parents,” Englewood Mayor James T. Butts said. of new york post report.

“I think it’s obvious to these young men, and to our followers on TikTok, that after the greatness of TikTok, there are moments that are a little bit miserable. So we don’t mess around with these things,” Butts said. Said ABC7.

“When you have a construction site, it’s a nuisance, it attracts children, it attracts people who want to steal tools,” the mayor added. “The truth is, that’s what happens when you build a large project.”

He also said safety measures would be “enhanced” at the arena.

“What’s going to happen is they’re going to increase the number of hours outside of construction hours and increase safety,” Butts said. Said Fox 11 Los Angeles.

Inglewood police said no signs of vandalism were found inside the stadium.

It is unclear whether the boy who trespassed will be charged with a crime.
