A 73-year-old Daytona Beach, Florida, man said he was hit with a metal object and robbed after a woman asked him out on a romantic date.
The suspects in this case are currently in custody and have been identified as 34-year-old Chelsea Wright and 33-year-old Andrew Marks of Fox 13. report Saturday.

When the elderly man arrived at the hospital around 5 a.m. Thursday, he told officials he had been assaulted and robbed in the Plantation Pines neighborhood.
The Volusia Sheriff’s Office detailed the incident in a social media post Saturday.
Detectives learned that the victim had met Wright at a Daytona Beach bar and they had talked about a romantic relationship. Mr. Wright offered to go back to her house, and he agreed and followed her in his own car.
At one point during the drive, Wright stopped to pick up someone on the side of the road. She continued driving with the victim in tow, then stopped near her residence and removed her passenger. The victim then got out of his car and approached Wright’s car.
At that time, the passenger reappeared and struck the victim in the head with a hard metal object, continuing to beat him even as he fell to the ground in a fetal position. The suspect then stole the victim’s wallet and fled. Wright also fled, leaving the victim bleeding on the ground.
The elderly man suffered injuries to his head, torso and arms in the incident. Sheriff’s officials said the man had a cut on his head that required staples, and one of his eyes was swollen shut from the assault.
Later, when authorities stopped Wright for a traffic violation, officers searched the vehicle and found drugs. She was taken into custody on drug charges and a probation violation.
She later claimed that her assailant in the incident was an elderly woman with Alzheimer’s disease who offered to give her a ride. Marks was later identified as the woman’s ex-boyfriend.
The two reportedly texted each other to plan the robbery. Authorities arrested Marks on Friday on charges of robbery with a weapon and aggravated assault of a person 65 years of age or older.
The woman involved was also arrested on the same charges, according to the sheriff’s office.
