Eagles’ Jason Kelce Emphasizes Importance of Fathers in Retirement Speech

Jason Kelce gave a tearful speech announcing his retirement from a 12-year NFL career, pointing out the importance of fathers in the lives of their children.

Kelce, one half of the famous Kelce Brothers team in the National Football League, joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011 and unusually spent 12 years in the league with that team.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio in 1987, Jason was a sixth-round pick in 2011, the first of the Kelce brothers to be selected in the NFL Draft. His younger brother Travis was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2013. Both played for the Cincinnati Bearcats in college.

In his address to the press, Jason noted how important his wife, Kylie, and their three children are in his life, noting that his marriage is “increasingly bringing him more fulfillment off the field than on it.” ” he said.
