Kentucky Sen. Karen Berg (D) proposed issuing “child sex dolls” to pedophiles to prevent child abuse, saying child sex dolls would give them “liberation.”
“I didn’t know anything about child sex dolls, so of course I Googled it last night,” Berg said Thursday while speaking at the Kentucky General Assembly.

“I was a little scared to put it in a search engine, but I did, and apparently there is some research on this topic. [but] Not that many,” Berg added, then referred to pedophiles as “people attracted to minors” or “MAP.”
“There are people who are attracted to minors, called ‘MAPs,'” the Democratic state senator said.
“And the limited amount of research that’s been done on these dolls shows that these dolls actually reduce the tendency for people who are attracted to minors to go out and attack children, and actually “It suggests that it gives them a release. They’re less likely to leave the house,” Berg continued.
The Democratic state senator continued, “Interestingly, this study did not support the same conclusion that adult people who are enchanted with dolls do not become less likely to engage with other people.” ” he said.
“As I say, the research isn’t very good, it’s not comprehensive, but the research that’s out there is conclusive,” Berg argued.
After facing intense backlash for her comments, Berg retracted her remarks and issued a statement on X/Twitter saying she was “deeply concerned about the harms of pedophilia.”
“As a mother and a physician, I am of course deeply concerned about the harms of pedophilia, and I regret that my questions before the committee did not convey that,” the Democratic state senator wrote on Friday X/Twitter I mentioned it in my post.
