A bizarre video has been released showing a Georgia police officer rescuing a woman who was trapped in a crashed car and resting on a covered swimming pool.
A 911 audio recording released by the Cobb County Police Department shows a woman telling a dispatcher, “Someone drove through the pool fence. [she’s] “In the middle of a swimming pool,” police said as they responded to an unusual scene in the Atlanta suburb of Kennesaw in late February.
“The pool has a cover, so [she] It’s not sinking. I don’t know how long the cover will last,” the caller said.
Body camera footage shows a man standing next to the vehicle on the pool lid as officers arrive at the gated community where the incident occurred. The man was heard telling them that the driver was lifting her head at times.
